Give Your Full Body a Workout
Riding a bike works different areas of the body. Crucially, your lower half receives a solid workout through pedaling – the quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, calf muscles, buttocks, and parts of the feet all get a boost.
However, your upper body also undergoes a vigorous workout: the chest, back, triceps, shoulders, and biceps are all central to staying stable as you ride.
It may not be quite as effective as lifting weights or sweating through 50 push-ups, but cycling will still give you a great full-body workout.
