Exercise programs are steadily gaining in popularity. Many people participate in exercise programs because of how it helps them to improve their physical and mental health and well being. There is a misconception that simply working out will get you in shape. In reality, being fit and becoming healthy requires planning, dedication and time.
Improving your health through exercise programs does not provide instant results. Spending many hours in the gym can decrease the rate at which muscles develop. Physical fitness takes time and part of a fitness program must include a rest period. If you train to much and fatigue your muscles, you can create injuries and damage your body. Participating in exercise programs where you over exert your body and do not incorporate rest periods can be detrimental to normal cell development.
