Exercise with a buddy
Some people find it very boring to exercise alone and will exercise longer and further if they are exercising with someone. Take along a friend or relative when you exercise so you can motivate the other person and they can motivate you. Exercise that is intense enough so you can keep up a brief conversation is likely to be enough exercise. If you can’t talk to one another, you may be doing too much.
Load up on carbs before exercising
You can’t exercise efficiently unless your has the fuel to perform. Even if you are exercising to lose weight, your workout program will be more efficient if you eat a complex carb before working out. Oatmeal and berries are a good choice as is peanut butter on whole grain toast.
Recognize the signs of “exercise flu.”
If you are just starting out your exercise program, you may feel sick to your stomach if you are exercising too much. If this happens, stop and take a drink of water. Let your pulse go down before starting the exercise again. Eventually, you will be able to exercise without feeling sick.
